Google messages silent notifications on android.

Hi, I use google messages on android. I have muted some of the unimportant message notifications to only be silent and not provide any notification. It works perfectly fine on the phone but my watch still buzzes to notify me. 

I don't want to turn off notifications for the full app as I still want to be notified of incoming texts. Please advise what to do? Thanks

    I don't think there's anything you can do - this is a issue I have too.  Even if my phone is set to DND, it seems the Android API still tells the Garmin App about notifications etc and the Garmin App will push them to your watch.

    Personally I don't actually mind this, I like that I can turn DND on my phone but still get notification on my watch, great for movies, meetings etc.

    But it's also a PITA sometimes because my watch turns on battery saver at 10pm (thus turning off bluetooth) but sometimes I'll go to bed earlier and put my phone on it's dock. That puts it into DND but then if I do get an Email/Text my watch will buzz while I'm trying to get to sleep.

    I'm not sure I understand what you're saying. I have my watch go to Battery Saver mode from 2130 to 0610. I have edited Battery Saver mode to effectively keep a connection to my smartphone. As the watch is also in DND mode I do not get any alerts from my phone during DND even with an active connection to my phone whilst Battery Saver mode is active. 

    And I do get my nightly altimeter calibration...

    Oh sorry I wasn't clear.

    I have the BT turn off on my watch (on purpose) between 10pm and 6am - this is using the Power Saver feature (one of the main reaosns I went Fenix instead of Forerunner)

    I find though if I go to bed early, say, 9:15pm, then I still get notifications on my watch even though my phone is in DND mode, because battery saver hasn't kicked in yet and thus the BT link to my phone is still active.

    I also have DND on during sleep, but yea, that's not set to start until 10pm either.
