I'd rather replace a screen protector that doesn't affect Solar Intensity than getting a scratch on the non sapphire glass.
A couple pics of my GF6X Pro Solar with self healing screen protector.
Take notice of the pic I took outside that shows 100% solar intensity in the bottom right data field.
My preferred watch face is:
…No. At least not in my experience with my 6x pro solar with a clear tempered glass screen protector.
Same here, I've tried the 9H tempered glass but have now settled on the self healing 6X Pro Solar Protective Screen and my solar intensity hits 100% with no issues.

Fantastic eBay seller as well.
With these self healing screen protectors, I found it best not to wipe/clean the screen protector for at least 24 hours. This maybe because you apply these wet using included spray and I think it's best to let the screen protector dry out completely.
The Garmin faq says:
“Garmin does not recommend the use of any kind of screen protector, as it will reduce the solar intensity received by the Power Glass lens.
If damage occurs to the screen while using a third-party screen protector, the watch will not be covered under Garmin's warranty.”
But I use a screen protector, too. And I have also not noticed any solar charging problems.

Could you post a picture of this? I don't have a Solar, but a 6 Pro, still very interested in how it looks on your watch. I tried a few types of screen protectors, regular plastic film, 'tempered glass', both with and without 'anti-reflection', but they all dull the contrast and are more reflective than the screen without protector, and I need the backlight far too often.
