Band color "dark sandstone" and "coyote tan" question

I was thinking of buying the 'coyote tan' color quickfit-22 band (originally for Fenix 5 I believe) but can't find it anymore in the local Garmin store. They do have a 'dark sandstone' color band that looks similar. But it's hard to judge, and I haven't seen side-by-side pictures. Does anyone know if the dark sandstone is similar to 'coyote tan' or is it much darker than in comparison?

  • The discontinued Coyote Tan band is a few shades lighter brown when directly compared to the Dark Sandstone band that was released when the Fenix 6 series came out.

Colors are always difficult to accurately convey in a forum post, but I tried - maybe these pics will help you.

Pics are of QuickFit 26 bands, but I believe the colors should be the same on the QuickFit 22 bands.

Bands were shot placed on a standard 18% Grey Card.  If you have the capability, you can calibrate the grey on your monitor to more accurately see the band colors.

Edit to add: Coyote Tan band is on the left, Dark Sandstone band is on the right.

  • Thank you, these pictures are very helpful! Somehow I like the Coyote Tan a lot. Maybe it's because it's close to the beige color of the computers I particularly enjoyed working on back in the day.
