Blue triangle screen when trying to save activity

Today I got back from a long run, hit save activity and the blue triangle appeared. Completely lost the run activity which is not great!! This happened a few weeks ago after a run activity so wondering if it's a known issue and if there is a fix so that it doesn't happen again?!

Yesterday trying to add the widget notification the watch crashed with the same blue triangle. I’m sending shortly an email to the beta team.

The latest beta has "Fixed intermittent issue that would cause device shutdown while saving an activity." so it appears it's fixed in the latest beta :)

Does my watch automatically update with the latest beta?

No, you need to download and install those manually via a computer. See instructions in the pinned post at the top of the forum advertising the newest beta.

Thanks! Hope that fixes the issue. Bit disappointing to get to the end of a 30k run and then lose the activity!

If it's important to you, you can try one of the recovery tools to see if you can recover the deleted file from the \GARMIN\ACTIVITY folder on the watch. See thread - how do I get my activity back? The sooner the better, as the file will get overwritten with new data. Even if recovered, it will likely be corrupted, which can also be repaired using 3rd-party tools.
