Restlessness vs movement in sleep tracking

Hi,

I think there has been a a recent software update on my Fenix 6 pro - I now see a sleep score along with my usual "sleep" analysis (deep, light etc.)

What I'm trying to understand is, within the daily sleep score breakdown, there is a rating for "restlessness" (see image) - is this the same thing as "movement" in "sleep"? I don't see how it could be because the corresponding "deep", "REM" data all displays within both sections - plus in my data today my "movement" chart is all under the low horizontal, plus when you click into "restlessness" it only gives general info about restless sleep rather than pointing to a specific measured metric (that i can see anyway!)

Does anyone have any idea what "Restlessness" is actually measuring?

I have the same question, I've never seen "Restlessness" other than poor.

Good question. No idea. I usually get 'fair'. Unless I sleep in a very uncomfy bed, and then it turns into 'poor'. Oddly, the only time I actually get a 'good' for deep sleep is when I sleep in an uncomfy bed. Thus there's something odd going on as I only seem to get sufficient deep sleep when being restless :D But on the other hand, the watch doesn't really notice whether I sleep or am awake anyway. I click the 'I'm awake' button in the morning, surf the net a bit, get out of bed, and the watch counted this half hour as sleep.

I would like somebody from Garmin to comment on Restlessness. I have similar experience to other that having good sleep without waking up, low stress level, balanced deep, low, REM the restlessness description is fair or poor. No idea how it is measured. Can someone developing it comment ?
