Alarms for user POIs

I did add successfully POIs to my Feni 6x Plus, with POI Uploader.

This POIs are on or near a route which I walk/hike.
During navigation this POIs also appear as a green dot on the map, is perfect so far.

At the upload process of the POIs with POIUploader I did set 200m distance for the alarm or whatever comes (default is 400m).

What do I need to swith on on the watch to get an alarm or message when I am near my POI (within 200m in my example)?
Note: I do not naviaget to the POI, then an alarm would not make sense.

I want an alarm when I pass by my POI on the route wich I am navigating

Examples: checkpints when do some hiking competition. Then is good to take care to find the checkpoint fast and not need to go back

The alarm comes when you navigate to this PIO. But not if your destination is another.

If the POI is your destination, the alarm will come 200 or 400m before you reach it.

You can create route points ON THE ROUTE on the Connect website. You can display the distance to the next point (distance to next).

What about that:

go into an app (hike for example): hike settings>alerts>proximity> take a saved location and set a proximity distance> enable proximity alerts. But that works only for saved locations, not for pois.

I'll add that Proximity Alerts are setup per activity type.

thx a lot

But, how can I add locations? I can save locations when I am there and select save location, but I cannot go to all this points in advance just to save locations. I did not find a way to edit this saved locations.

Correct. That does NOT work with pois from GARMIN POI LOADER SOFTWARE on the FENIX

There are a few ways. You can use the Garmin Explore app. You can use the Garmin Explore website. Or for example the Garmin Basecamp software.

You do not have to navigate to your POIs, nor does it have to be on the route. It is enough if it is in any specified distance. See also post from Volker.
If you pass your POIs (saved on your watch) in a radius set according to your wishes, the alarm appears, if you move the radius again, the alarm appears again.
it calls "proximity alert" and works fine.

Right. POI's belong to the map and unfortunately watches are not compatible with custom POI VIA GARMIN POI LOADER SOFTWARE
