  • How to upload HIIT Workouts, as garmin mobile (iOS, updated 3days ago) sees my watch as incompatible?

  • Me too... imposible to send HIIT trainings

Shows as "No Complatible" in the Garmin App and Garmin web too

  • After loading this beta.... Watch now stuck in continuous boot loop.... From blue triangle, to loading fit files.... Then fades out.... And restarts all over again....

Two soft resets have had no effect...

  • Tried connecting it to Garmin Express during a boot? ... My guess is if you can get a connection empty /Garmin/Newfiles

  • Thanks for your reply, you may have been right...(I should have looked at your reply) but I did a master reset,(button sequence) still the watch restarted itself with files still there including all music etc... .so I performed another, watch restarted again but let me into the system menu..I started to setup some widgets and the watch restarted again...  I master reset again this time using the watch menu itself...... So far so good, no restarts yet... I Just have a few days of setting up to do hopefully setting up and copying apps and setting up data screens ....at least my maps and satellite images are still on board... and trueup worked.

    Cheers : -)

  • Yeah, the initial setup back to "your" setup is a pain. I have a note on my computer with every setting, and all acvtivity's data screen setups etc....

Garmin - give us a watch backup tool :)

  • Hi all, this is most probably already discussed, sorry I can't find a clear answer, tough...

Is there a difference if a perform a reboot by the turnoff function and then turn on, against shutting the watch off by longo long press of the light button? Off course... Aside from how you do it and being forced to the long press in case the watch interface if frozen, but in normal conditions is there any difference?

    Tanks! Cheers

  • There is a difference. This isn't necessarily absolute fact, but this is how I feel that things work....

The quick press doesn't really do anything except turn the watch off to save battery. This is like politely shutting down a PC, probably to a "hibernate" state so that everything is preserved and nothing changes when you power it back on. In otherwise, it won't cure any problems.

The long press is like pulling the plug on a PC and savagely terminating power.  This will terminate processes instantly and a little bit of data might be lost. When it starts up again it must do a clean boot and this can purge badly behaving processes in the watch and perhaps clean up a problem. In terms of data loss it is very little. Recovery time usually resets to zero and body battery value might jump a bit, either up or down. I have never noticed any other losses.

Whenever I install new firmware I always let the firmware install, do a quick press reboot after that and then a long press reboot. I have very very few problems with my watch with this system of rebooting.

  • What do you mean? The watch? The strap while trying to pair? Yes, I did wear while trying.
