That was a specific issue that happened at the start of 2021. Garmin didn't just post that in reply to you, don't blatantly lie.
I use my Fenix 6 for running all the time, hundreds of runs recorded on it and never had any significant GPS issues even once. Distance is always consistent (within +/- 0.5% most days, or maybe 1% on the…
Nonsense. I’ve got a Fenix 6 Sapphire that’s a couple of weeks old now and it’s spot on. Why are you posting utter nonsense?
Why are you posting such obvious and blatant lies? We all know the GPS issue was at the start of the year and affected all devices so why are you creating click bait headlines now? Are you lonely or something?
Take a look on internet. Far away no sense
muppetman not in Belgium ... so be aware of this before accusing me
Because they don't take this issue under warranty ! And this is not normal ! Buying a lowcost watch is the same. Why to order a Fenix then if it's having same result as a lowcost ...
Why don't you go into more detail on what issues you are having? The "reply from Garmin" you're referencing was a 1 time issue that affected every manufacturer with the Sony chipset last New Year and hasn't happened since. If this one time issue is the basis of your thread, that's long dead and corrected.
This was from Jan 2021.
Please provide more detail on the issues you have, otherwise many users will have a hard time believing you.
If you think the watch is really bad at gps accuracy, it might be interesting to try with several different devices and create examples the way dcrainmaker publishes them on his site. Things to take into account can be found on his blog. That way it is possible to show how bad your watch really is.
I'm happy that your GPS works good.
Look at mine. This was a 10km run, in both images the track on the right (it's the track of second lap) is good, the track on the left (first lap on same route)...WTF?!
On your map you can see if you are running on left or right side of the road. With mine Fenix 6 PRO Solar never happened even in open sky place and starting run after 5min since GPS signal acquired
You're full right and I did it.
Result : 5 times
Real 11 km
FENIX 6 : between 10.4 and 10.6 with a difference to train. 5:46 vs 5:25 mn / km !
Forerunner 245 : 11.01 km
Strava : 11.1 km
