IOS15 and Notification Summary

With IOS15, Notification Summary is not working as expected with my Fenix6.

I am still getting notifications on the watch at the time they come in, despite selecting the app to notify at a scheduled time only.

I assume this is because Garmin app has no clue about the Summary feature, and simply reads the notification and sends it to the watch.

Still not working as it should. I also noticed that if I use the new "Silence for 1 hour" option on any notification, I keep receiving it on the watch while on the phone they are muted.

Hi! Notification summary and focus mode are different things - and the support article talks about focus mode (which allows for notifications to be "muted" during various "focus modes").

Notification summary allows the phone to "collect" all notifications from specific apps for a given time-period and display all at the same time. I've set up a daily summary of non-important notifications for every day at 21:00, and my phone does not display these notifications during the day (they only show in the summary).

Even if there are no notification on the phone they still show up on my watch at the time they occur (my phone "saves" the notification to display at the summary, while my watch displays the notification immediately). So basically it doesn't seem like Garmin understands that I've set up notification summary and just display everything immediately.

iOS 15 may not allow that level of 3rd party APP programming to work exactly the same as your iPhone does. This has been the case with the last several major version updates.

IE Prior Examples: iOS 14 forcing your iPhone call to show on your watch when you take a call on your iPhone and now being forced to leave the GCM APP open in the background for certain features to work. Apple is allowed to make any changes within their own products but they are not obligated to allow those features to work with 3rd party APPS. It's the power they enjoy with their success and the choice to maintain a tight control on iOS.

If it is possible, our developers will continue to make adjustment to the Connect Mobile APP to be more compatible with iOS 15 feature changes.

I hope the Garmin team fixes the whatsapp messages notifications asap. I am still receiving notifications from facebook messenger, sms, but not whatsapp messages in my Garmin Fenix 6s Saphire. Had to return to using my Apple Watch...

I deleted the watch off my connect app and resynced again and boom. Whatsapp has been working non stop since that.

Iphone 13 pro on ios 15.0.2 btw
