External sensor not shown / listed in Garmin Connect

I have never known third party hardware to be shown in Garmin Connect. My HRM-PRO is always listed when I use it. None of my various TickR and TickR X straps are shown. Stryd data is shown, but not the Stryd hardware. Even Garmin's own Tempe is not shown.

I would hazard a guess that the only hardware displayed is that which can be paired with Garmin Connect Mobile for firmware updates or modification of user settings.

My old F5 watch has Garmin Running Dynamic Pod shown as photo attached.

Because your example  is a garmin device. You will not get info which HRM, running pod or whatever you used from third party companies. The watch will use it´s data, but garmin connect is for garmin products. 

My HRM-RUN isn't listed anywhere. The only way I know it was in use is if the run has running dynamics data in it. And it's shown if I use the 3rd party websites runalyze. But Garmin Connect doesn't show it at all.

You'll have to add it to gear/other and then manually assign it to your activity (without a fancy picture).

That's mostly for sport gears like shoes, lol. 

I always thought a gadget FCC ID would shows and integrated in Garmin Connect, just like Strava able to shows Garmin Fenix 6 from the synced fit or gpx files.
