Searched on Google for Fenix's on sale.
This was the first result coming from Garmins website:
So maybe not a brand new 7 in the works...

Why don't You post the link? :-)
This is the search but when I clicked on the link it just led to the standard page
Seems to have disappeared now
no - I think it is just an advert -
this is the full text of the advert:
Garmin has a birthday sale on at the moment in most regions, and one of the watches on sale is the F6x Pro (£650->£500)- only black with black band, F6 Pro (£600-> £470) only black & bland band & F6s Pro (£600-> £470) - only rose gold & white band; as stated only for the mentioned models.
You've got to love a Garmin "sale".
that image in OP is a 6 pro solar
And it also mentions it being "on sale" through tomorrow.
Would be silly to run a promo sale (that ends tomorrow, so "hurry hurry hurry, time is limited!") on a product that doesn't even exist.
It's clearly either a typo, or just someone getting creative with words for SEO purposes.
Besides, the "6 Plus" (or rather, the equivalent to it) has already been out for a while now: The 6/6S Solar additions that were released last year.
Looking back at how the Fenix 5 Plus played out, The Fenix 5 Plus series basically added new features to the 5 and 5S that were previously only available on the 5X, while the 5X Plus got only minimal upgrades from the base 5X (PulseOX and Garmin Pay).
That's basically what happened with the Fenix 6 series last year. The 6 and 6S got new features that were previously only available on the 6X, while the 6X got minimal upgrades (actually, it got nothing, but the Tactix got Solar Sapphire).
So, given that there was already a mid-cycle minor update to the Fenix 6 lineup, and the fact that the 6 series is nearly a quarter of a decade old at this point, it seems more likely to me that the next Fenix series release will probably be the Fenix 7.
Of course, when that will actually happen is anyone's guess.
polar is supposed to release the grit x pro in october. maybe we'll see a new garmin then i hope something really new and not just more battery life, lte or new elevate sensors. boring.
