Fenix 6 Pro Scosche Rhythm 2.0 no training metrics

Anyone having any luck with the Scosche Rhythm 2.0 training metrics? Heart rate is recorded correctly but there is no Training Load or calories being recorded. Bummer as I like the HRM.

  • Unrelated: Why are you using yet-another-optical-HRM when you have optical-HRM in your Fenix 6 Pro - I'm pretty much sure accuracy is going to be similar (aka bad). Just buy a chest strap if you want precise data, or use built-in OHR, if you want non-precise data (but including Traning Load).

  • The OHR of the Scosche's is actually pretty darn spot on. Go and see the tests of DC Rainmaker for details. It's all about not monitoring on a bony place such as your wrist. Same goes for the Polar OH1. It's not that optical is per definition bad, it's that the wrist is a lousy location to use that technique. As for the 'why' an upper arm based HRM instead of a chest worn? Mostly comfort I guess. Under a hydration pack these things can chafe Slight smile

  • Ditto what GJRodenburg said. Read a DC Rainmaker review after searching for a chest-strap replacement. Went through 2 chest straps already, they just die on me (likely due to issues with water seal after battery change).

  • In answer to my post, did a little digging and found hints that the preferred method of pairing to ANY Garmin device is ANT+. Looks like I had it paired via BLE. Unpaired the BLE connection and paired the ANT+ connection from the Scosche… bingo, works great now Slight smileTraining metrics are now captured.

Wearing it on my upper arm and it captures high intensity fine.
