Courses not loaded properly for navigation

Dear all,

I posted something similar in the 19.20 thread, though, it seems that the issue I am describing is not related to the SW (rolled back to 16.70 with the same issue).

What happened?

generated a course in garmin connect mobile
send it to watch
synchronized watch via Garmin connnect mobile
course appears in watch with name
choose the course
no course data is found like elevation etc
course disappears from watch after trying to have a look at e.g. elevation data

Already tried syncing through Wifi etc.

Well, this would be kind of okayish if it would mean it will never work at all, but occasionally it will work somehow by surprise. When I tried to repeat the steps done when it was doing its job no luck of reproducing.

Same course synced to a Edge 530 just works fine on the 530....

Somebody having an idea, because I am running out....

Played around a bit more. After now deleting all available courses from the watch and a new start, all new courses showing up correctly and routable. Hence, I am guessing I was running out of memory and needed to reduce the number of saved courses

I am having the same problem. Very frustrating. Will try the same approach. But I only had a very limited number of courses synced to the watch.

I’m having the same problem. My watch is not running low on memory. And this has worked fine until the last 10-14 days.

garmin explore is working slightly better but it’s missing climb data. Connect doesn’t seem to work at all either with courses added from the web or on my iPhone. The original GPX files come from different sources but mostly SwissMobile

Update: I tried removing courses, was not the solution for me. Still experiencing the same issue. Courses seem to sync, but when selected no data is available. Also having some trouble removing some of the courses.

I also had some trouble to remove certain files, but in the end it worked when I also cleaned it in Garmin Connect directly (don`t get it why it worked then, but I do not complain....).

Double checked it again and at least for me it is now still working correctly with Komoot (auto synced to Garmin connect) or in Garmin connect.

SwissMountainLeader same was true, or at least I though for me on the memory side, may be give it a shot. Not sure what you do mean by sources from SwissMobile, did you mean may be Swisstopo? Just wondering. At least for me being also in Switzerland everything like mentioned before does work.

This doesn't work reliably anymore. Tracks produced in SuisseMobile don't transfer using Garmin Connect in a usable way. But they are working from Explore.

I do know what Swiss Topo is and my watch isn't running out of memory.

As mentioned in that post, one solution might be to remove stray ".FIT" files. It's odd this seems to effect Garmin Connect but not Garmin Explore in my experience.

Hi, have you find an answer to this issue. I have also the same two problems:

1. Can't delete courses from the Fenix 6. I can delete them if I press delete course and than restart the Fenix 6.

2. A course created in Garmin Connect does not load properly in Fenix 6. The course created in Garmin connect is being transferred to Fenix 6 but when you open the course in Fenix 6 and than look into the map the map does not being showed up.
