remix 6X and HRM connection issues

I just acquired a new fenix 6X and am trying to connect my HRM-Tri to the watch and it will not find the monitor despite the following steps being taken:

replaced HRM battery
left battery out of HRM for 10 minutes
wearing HRM
resetting fenix to factory defaults
Soft reset
resetting up fenix in connect app

help would be appreciated!

Do you have other ANT+ sensors paired to the watch?

Obvious question but are you in Sensors and Accessories when attempting to pair? Have you wet the strap beforehand?

Yes to both. It’s weird because I used the HRM strap on my other Garmin watch Friday, and after I got my fenix Saturday and was able to get the fenix paired with my wahoo and watch just fine, it’s just not seeing the HRM

did the Reset HRM trick of putting in the battery the wrong ay round for 10 secs?

Los Mi parecen que da muchos problemas al conectar, yo tengo uno y no me deja conectar mi 935 solo el fenix6: y cuando voy en bici el 830 hay que emparejarlo de nuevo, suelo hacerlo poniendo en avión el tlfno y conectándolo de nuevo creo que es problema de sistema operativo de los Mi

I had this issue with my HRM1, not being recognized with two GPS devices. My solution was:

Remove the battery from the HRM.

Shorten the circuit.

Leave it without battery for approx 8 hrs (a working day).

After that, it was immediately recognized by both the Montana and the fenix6.
