No cadence after 19.20 SOLVED

I updated to 19.20 this morning, just did the suggested recovery run and there is no cadence data. I did the suggested base run yesterday (with fw 19.10) and all the watch provided (ie I don't have a HRM or Stryd or similar, just the watch) cadence data was there. Both runs were similar in terms of arm movement or whatever - on both runs I probably checked the watch more often than I normally would because I was trying to stay in the suggested "zone" of the workout. But if arm movement was the issue, it would have been so on both runs.

It's not a measurement I care about especially (although I would be disappointed to lose it permanently) but I am posting this to see if it's a common issue with the update.

I have the base Fenix 6.

Edit: The suggested restart and adding a cadence field to run fixed this.

Same thing here. Shows 120 steps per minute flat. Fenix 6x pro.

I've just been out with mine and cadence is working fine. Normally I do use a HRM but did a quick test without. Try a restart? Or remove the field and re-add it?

I thought of trying a restart but not until after when it was too late. I probably won't get the chance to run before Sunday but I will see what happens then.

What you could do is go to the activity (but not start it) and scroll down to the data field with cadence in and walk around - does the value change?

I didn't actually have cadence as a field, it was just something that I had noticed in Connect and then today noticed that there was nothing. But after your first comment I wasn't 100% sure what you meant about the field so had a play and added it. Now I just tried what you said and the value changed as I moved around so I guess either adding the field or the restart fixed it. I will still wait to see what happens the next time I run to be sure but this has reassured me.

Cadence was back on the watch and on Connect after my run today. Now I am a bit curious about whether it will disappear if I take the data field off so I might try that. But the main thing, it's there again. So thanks!
