Hi,
After the new update of my Fenix 6 pro, for both indoor and outdoor activities GPS black background is covering the top third of my screen.
Is that any way to fix it?

Try the following troubleshooting steps:
- Hard Reset: long hold of your top left button until your watch shuts off then let go.
- Reset: Go to your System > Reset menu and reset your watch
Given that…
Oddly, though, looking at OP's photo again I see it's already recorded 1 mile of distance and 3 minutes of activity.... so maybe this is indeed a software glitch.
Hard reset actually worked
Thanks all
Which software version? That’s a status bat that should disappear when you press start.
Is it still there when the activity is started? GPS is usually disabled for indoor activities but I do see a black band at the top with some data scrolling through until I press start. If you see the same GPS status bar when using an indoor activity then you should disable GPS when indoors.
simple answer to your question-press Start.
This question comes up with a surprising frequency.
Indeed, yes the screen will go away when you actually START recording the activity. That GPS info at the top is only there when the activity is in "standby", aka you haven't started recording/tracking yet.

Thank you . yes took the picture while was biking outside. I had no issue with that before. even indoor activities setup are the same.
it is 16.70
Strange indeed. Could be a bug. Garmin Epix had this issue. Restarting the Epix would fix it for a while.
Is it an APAC (Asia-pacific) device?

Given that I have personally not seen a Fenix watch do what your watch is now doing, a reset will likely resolve the issue for you.
