The post has no link for that that don't want to wait for Connect Express to show the update. Could somebody provide one please. Thanks.

It would be great if Garmin could give all beta testers the opportunity to update to 19.10. Either through Garmin Express or through a manual download link. I have tested almost every beta since i bought…
It's bizarre that Garmin is totally cool with us dropping BETA firmware on our devices, sometimes with crappy outcomes, but they aren't down with giving testers the ability to move from BETA to stable…
I'm just saying that having Express tell me that "there are updates" but then no updates get installed might be related to having a beta installed, or are you saying that everyone sees the…
Saw that today too. Happens sometimes when there's background 'stuff' updating.
Just be patient/ All comes to he/she who waits.
There appears to be a language update as well - I'm being offered that but not the actual 19.10 update.
You don't have to use Express. Traditionally the direct download link will be in the source text of the "Updates & Downloads" page:
<!--NOTE FOR USERS WANTING TO DOWNLOAD SOFTWARE ON ONE COMPUTER AND THEN INSTALL IT TO THEIR DEVICE USING A DIFFERENT COMPUTER: [...]
https://download.garmin.com/software/Fenix6Pro_6ProSolar_1670.gcd
But you still have to patiently wait until the page updates with the new version.
Did they? I've been a Fenix user since 2015 and as far as I can remember there never are any links for direct download to the official/public releases. Only for beta and release candidates
I am sure they provided it for Edge devices in the past.
Guess its the same problem as at the last update. No Updates over days. Maybe a bug found? Garmin will say nothing about that. Express and WebUpdater are emtpy, no news
I did a map update via Express yesterday (only map updates were listed). After that I saw a GUPDATE.GCD on the watch of ~ 12.5 MB (smaller than the 18.80 beta). Installed it and am now on 19.10. The Express URL and Updates & Downloads page still don't have 19.10.
I don't understand why 19.10 caused so much discussion and requests for downloads from non trusted sources for side load?
It will be available for everyone in a while and if it for some strange reason is impossible to run, cycle, go to the gym... 18.80 is still available for download and contains the features of 19.10 and has been running stable for almost everyone using the beta.
non trusted sources for side load?
Unless I'm mistaken, I don't think anyone was looking for "non trusted sources".
For me it is simply the convenience of being able to download the update file, and transferring it to the watch via USB. And there are provisions for that: wait for the download URL to appear in the (source of) the "Updates & Downloads" page. That can take quite long. It's only natural that people like to see if there are ways to get the update quicker than that.
Besides speed and convenience, there are other reasons to prefer a direct download: not everyone has a Mac or Win system for running Express, updates via the phone or Wifi do not always work(*see note*), some want to make a copy of the exact image before they install it, some don't want to use a Garmin account.. etc.
It was a big surprise yesterday's update via Express. I had put off the map updates because it requires hours (and Windows), but I had to charge the watch anyway. Afterwards I saw the update file.
(*note*) I know that updates via Wifi or phone work for nearly everyone, but during the last 6 years that almost never worked for me. Infrastructure isn't the same all over the world.
It would be great if Garmin could give all beta testers the opportunity to update to 19.10. Either through Garmin Express or through a manual download link. I have tested almost every beta since i bought the Fenix 6X Pro Solar but I am in the last production release batch every time.

Isn't downloading a firmware from a generic file sharing site from an unknown user or asking "someone" (as in anyone) to share a file downloading from a non trusted source?
