You have to connect your watch to A computer and use Garmin Express.
Once I do this will I have to do this every time I update my playlist through my app which automatically syncs to all devices? Is the watch capable of syncing through WiFi?
Another critical part of the process is that your iTunes files/library has to locally resident ON YOUR MAC. Meaning, not up in the cloud, etc. Based on how you worded the question, I'd assume all your music files ARE on your Mac hard drive, which should sync fine using the Garmin Express Mac application, as already stated....But yes you have to plug in your Garmin watch <physically> to a USB port on your Mac. And depending on the Mac you have, you'll have to locate a dongle to use, since the more recent Macs have only USB-C ports.
Yes. Sadly there is no Apple Music app for Garmin watches. Amazon, Spotify or Deezer will sync playlists over WiFi
Ok got it. Watch should be here tomorrow if I have to I’ll just go through my phone. I’m sure it’s apple being difficult as to why it’s not on the Garmin ecosystem
Garmin watches sync music two different ways. First is physical sync to your Mac, using your iTunes library ON the hard drive of your machine, and the watch connects to your Mac via a USB cable that came in the box when you bought it.
Second is WiFi sync, but only to a few select providers, and you have to be a premium subscriber to whichever service you plan to use. Apple Music is NOT one of the supported services - but Amazon Music, Spotify, Deezer and iHeartRadio. But again - NOT the free versions of those. You gotta pay in order to play.
iHeartRadio.
I did not know there was an iHertRadio app for Garmin. It's always a good day when you learn something new.
ok thats def good information for me
