Why no tracking of sex related activities?

Sex is healthy and I like it a lot. I'm pretty sure I'm not alone. It somehow feels natural to have kind of tracking of sex related activities. To know how many calories you burnt, to see it in the activities list, to get motivated even more and so on. Why nobody does it ?

Everybody makes sex, it is something very natural, our population increases thanks to it, but yet many treat it as taboo topic, nobody implements such functionality. Topic is simply avoided. There is no app for that. Our watches have all the HW required for that, it is merely SW update, but we do not see anything like that. Not mentioning things like masturbation, it is worldwide consensus if is healthy (if not done too often, lol), but again, everybody keeps silent about it. If we have all those smart watches which are supposed to increase our health level why those elementary topics are avoided ? Is it only me seeing some gap here ?

  • It's 10 years ago, but remembering that Fitbit data leak.. bad stuff happens to IT systems sometimes.. so using a generic activity profile as philipshambrook suggests might also be a privacy advantage.

  • Yes, I have not thought about this, but still having a choice and specific activities would be cool. It is also interesting that Fitbit has such functionality, I was not aware of it.

  • Why would anyone want to track sex related activities? It sort of takes away from any spontaneity for a start...

"Sorry dear hang on, need to click start, then scroll down... hang on let me set a target....."

I guess it depends if you want to track EVERY activity you do, or just allow some stuff to fall under 24x7

  • Was about to post exactly this.

Well, while I get your point, it is still about having a choice. I would love to be able to track it, I could do it in a discreet manner, so my partner would not know. On the other hand my wife also desires such feature as we just discussed it today.

  • You have a choice - there's an "other" activity. So you can track sex, volleyball, mini golf etc etc. TBH my major concern about Garmin is this diffusion of focus from their core base.

And also, having a track of your sexual activity on the web, or in the cloud, is just asking for problems.

Plus who needs a watch giving you a sex score and telling you "ah well, you'd didnt do as well as yesterday as your endurance was down",..... :)

It's like the march of technology in a nutshell.. some things you CAN do, but why would you?
