How to Turn OFF a Virtual Partner while following a course?

Can someone help?

How I can turn off a Virtual Partner (grey triangle on a map) while following a course?

I have not found any settings related to this :(

  • Many people would like to do that but it cannot be turned off. If you want it to get out of our way you can set a pace/speed of 0 or 999 when you create the course so the VP goes super fast or slow and get out of sight. This may affect some navigation fiels such as ETA for example. But the feature will remain active. On the other hand you get used to simply ignoring it.

  • Thanks for the answer.

But I don’t understand why such an implementation is made by default. Isn't it more logical to turn it on if you really need it?

  • There is a way to control the appearance of the VP arrow. It can be customized via custom map themes. You can see how it changes between built-in map themes.

    Standard:

    Orange

    Black borders

Almost invisible/transparent (just some white overlay left), maybe that can be fixed to totally invisible.

If you find this interesting go to this folder

    https://1drv.ms/f/s!ArcZbYTRM95XgpRe8m2uYlWnQwzByw

    and download: VPblackBrdr.kmtf, VPorange.kmtf, VPtransp.kmtf

Copy them to the Garmin/Mapthemes folder on watch.

Go to your activity setting and change the map theme.
