Fenix 6 pro (Black bezel) or 6 (silver bezel) ?

I’m wondering weather to get the pro with the black bezel or the 6 with the silver bezel I would like to get the one wich will hold up to scratches more or wich one would be less noticeable. Both are not titanium versions.

  • Silver bezels hold up much better to scratches, generally. But if you want the 'premium functions' like maps and PacePro, you'll have to get the Pro with the black bezel, or spend a lot more on a titanium version.

  • Is the black bezel easy to scratch. Just some people make it seem like it scratches easy and some people say if your a bit careful what your doing and take some degree of care  it won’t get scratched to bad.

  • Titanium is your friend. Pro versus scratching a bezel is comparing apple and orange.
Take the Pro and live with the scratches which give character to a tool watch.

But, FYI, here is my Fenix 6 Pro Titanium "Silver".  (Watchface Europilot BTW). Also it is sapphire which is really scratchproof in my use.
Mine is 2 years old and in super great shape. It is easy to remove any major scratches with a jeweler pad bought on the Bay.

And another on with the Trekkie watchface for good measure.

  • I have the pro with the black bezel and originally i wanted silver but found out that i like the whole black watch better after wearing it. I have been wearing it for 8 months now and do not have any scratches. Hope to stay this way. This is a terrific watch.

  • Silver is good when scratched as its harder to see metal scratches on a metal surface.

I had sold my silver Fenix 3 and the buyer said the watch is like a new watch, however that was a watch with two years of abuse.

Later I had black Fenix 5X and 6X Pro. Each one had some tiny dents but not a big issue. I had fell down in the second run with my 6X Pro and it had a few dents, but they haven't been a problem. You need to look closer to see them.

If your activities are hard on the watch, it may be better to choose something with silver or titanium color.

  • Only reason I'd choose the 6 Pro in black, is that it is the best value for money in the Fenix 6 line in my opinion. Let's say, it "acquires character" really quickly. (This is not my watch, BTW)

  • I have PRO version only because added functionalities. If pro version were available with silver bezel, I'd bought it.
