Spotify Playlist Partial Sync

Been using my Fenix 6 sapphire for a few months with spotify - in this instance the Sync playlist feature without any issues for months. 

Something happened in a recent update (could be iOS, firmware, spotify app) where the Sync isn't functioning properly and only a couple songs out of the 50 in the playlist will sync, the Sync will fail at a obut 20% completion. The connection between the phone and spotify does in fact work. I am running the most current firmware, garmin express, etc. Per the other instructions in the forums I have literally set my fenix on top of my wifi router to ensure I'm "close enough". Same results. I've deleted and reloaded spotify, cleared caches and essentially done everything short of a hard reset (I really don't want to do that). The only thing that's changed in my setup here is I DID switch to a wifi 6 router a couple weeks back. It does broadcast in both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz, so this shouldn't be an issue - and again the birdge to the phone IS working because I am getting songs across. Just not a full load, so my guess is some sort of timeout issue. 

Garmin - I love you guys to death, but this absolutely has to be a simple software fix. From reading a bit more in the forums it looks like there might be a fix do the sync on an open network? Seems like a pretty janky solution. 

Let me know if there's any other info you need garmin to get some help - but I'm about at my wits end with this watch.
