Fenix 6S Weather temp?

Hi all,

I've purchased a Fenix 6S Sapphire recently and on the watch face have what I believe is the average weather temperature, with the "Now 22" etc reading on the dial. I'm struggling to figure where this figure is coming from, can anyone shed some light please?

It says its 22 out and that it feels like 22, when its really 27-30 out and it feels like 32. Sync is fine and I have the weather on numerous apps on the phone. Its shown 22 for the rest of the day, when its just getting hotter and hotter

Am I missing something here?

Thanks,

Evren

  • Same here. Best to pick a watch face that use weather data from an API.

  • The watch needs a connection to the phone in order to access the Internet for weather station data. Unfortunately the choice of weather stations is somewhat restricted and seems to favour airports. If you live nowhere near the weather station or the closest one is at very different altitude then the data presented may well be useless.

Personally I'd rather just look at the phone for weather data where I am rather than weather 20 miles away.

  • I think a problem I had, which I found out since posting the above, was that the watch/app sync was cutting out after about minute. it would sync and show 28 degrees etc then after a minute it's be back to 22 and stay like that... I factory reset the watch and reinstalled the app after removing the watch from Bluetooth and garmin connect. Now I seem to have normal sync & connectivity.

your comment makes sense though, I have 5 different weather apps now which use Met Office, AccuWeather, and The Weather Channel, and they're all different by about 1-2 degress Celsius. The reading not he phone seems more realistic now though, and move aligned with the Met Office one which for the UK is a tad more accurate I think
