Why don’t I have a US base topo maps

My Garmin Felix 6 sapphire only has worldwide dem basemap, nr, topoactive Europe 2021.11 northeast, ski view, topoactive Europe 2021.10 southwest but nothing US based. I bought it in America but have no us based maps. All my runs and biking show main roads only on the watch and a whole bunch of blank white screen but when uploaded to garmin a complete map is there. I can’t find a solution.

I have a US SKU watch and when I was last in the Desert South-West, I overrode the built-in maps because these ones derived from OSM had notably better trail detail.

Thank you all for your help. I bought topography maps through garmin download, deleted all the golf maps and the European maps from the watch to free up space for my music and everything works fine. Now hoping for a Garmin 7 to be released.
