Issue with workouts: Workouts created or updated on Connect are not syncing with device. How to fix this?

I have a few workouts created on the connect website for all kinds of activities: cycling, running, swimming and strength. Up until a few days ago the workouts were update on the watch whenever I updated them on the connect website, but today I've noticed that they are not updating anymore even though they are on the website. Any idea on how to solve this?

  • The simplest way would be to delete them from the watch and then send the workout to the watch again. It will get the latest version that way.

One possible reason for the issue could be that you are at the maximum number of workouts on the watch. There are a number of default strength and other workouts that get installed that take up slots so you may want to delete these if you are not using them. You can do it on the watch or if you plug it into a PC you can find them in the workouts folder. This may not fix your particular issue but it can cause sync problems for workouts so it may be worth a try.

  • I actually have similar problem, but there not just workouts not sync, but whole calendar not synchronizing from connect garmin to watch. And I noticing this problem somewhere at weekend.

  • Did just that and it worked. I do have the maximum number of workouts, but these sync issues started happening before having the max number of workouts. Thanks for the help

  • Actually it is wired. I deleted old workouts, switch off an on watch, sync, and then... I actually have training calendar in watch, but all workouts already marked as done. For future dates.

  • Figured out where was the problem. I drag workouts form calendar from completed days to next week, so thus workouts really was already complete. When take workout and scheduled normally, everything work just fine.
