Fenix 6S Pro no longer Synching

I have had the watch for 13 months.  After about 6 months, the watch would lose pairing and I would have to do a bunch of BT on/off, power cycle phone/watch, etc. to get them connected again.

Now it refuses to connect after a few days of going through all the troubleshooting steps.

The Android app is up to date with the release in late June.  I am on Android 11.

The watch connects and synchs to the cloud via the Garmin Express PC app, and it shows the watch as being up to date.

The app is in continual "Pairing Your fenix 6S Pro Device". The watch shows "Initializing for a few minutes before failing with a "Try Again" message.  I never get the pairing PIN.

Is there a "harder" version of reset that is more than a power cycle?

When the watch is in pairing mode, no other BT device can see its availability, so it is not just the one phone I am using.
