How can I edit category/type of custom created activity (fenix 6)?

I have created a custom activity by copying one of the saved activities. Although I have renamed the activity from original "Resort skiing" to "Bikepark Biking" it still remains categorized as winter activity and described as original activity i.e. "Resort skiing".

How can I categorize this activity as biking activity (and not winter sports)?

A custom activity profile copied from an existing profile retains its type, so if you want your custom profile to be a bike profile, then you need to copy a bike profile.

Hi. You need to change the type of sport, not only rename it ( the name is just a custom label for what you wish to call it).

If you are looking at the activity in Garmin Connect in a web browser, you can change it using the drop down menu at the top left corder of the activity, just above the name of the activity.
If you are using the Connect app in your phone you need to go in to "edit activity" mode and then change the "activity type" to desired type.

Hi and thank you. This works for editing the activity I have already done. I need to change default type of activity however.

Yeah, sorry, i misunderstood the original question.

Thank you. Bike profiles do not match activity settings I need for bikepark biking: lift uphill, bike downhill. Resort skiing is the perfect match of settings. That's why I have copied this activity profile.
