Feature Request: Movement Detected alert (during paused run activity)

Because you don't Pause your run, you stop it. Look at the watch when you do that, it will feature the red square sign. Pause is only Autopause: in fact, when it goes off, you will see the international sign for pause (two parallel bars).

If you want that functionality then you need to turn on Auto-Pause.

I agree with Philip - turn on Autopause. Then you don't have to pause it manually, or even remember to restart it.

Not every activity has "auto pause" as an option.

I've had mixed experience with Autopause.  On a road run with few stops, it does fine.  However, on a trail run that includes a lot of difficult technical sections and switchbacks- it pauses when it shouldn't, and then often takes a while to restart- the result is run metrics that come out far shorter than actual.

My Ancient Garmin Edge 500 does it just fine.  When you've stopped the run activity- the GPS is still operating.  the watch still knows if it's moving, and the algorithm that is tracking cadence- can still sense when you restart running pace and provide a warning message.  There's no reason that I can think of why this feature which is on the bike computers- can't be added to the Fenix 6

Agreed. It’s a solution to the OP. However, the best solution is memory. 

It's possible to adjust auto-pause (at least on my bike cycling activity) based on your speed.  So you could tune it to be more/less sensitive.

And if you think about it, that's the solution. Because even if you had the function you're asking for, it'd still have to use the same speed algo as auto-pause to decide to notify you or not.  So it'd either keep notifying you when you weren't doing the activity, or notify you too late into starting the activitiy again.  Auto-pause does exactly what you want but, well, automatically.

That's my take on it anyway.

it could use cadence.  
but yes- I'm aware that you can set the pace at which autopause kicks in.  Although, you can't make it more sensitive to movement than a pace of 0, which is the default.  custom settings are, of course, all a moving pace that's higher than zero.
