I have done many interval workouts with pace as target and it works fine.

I use a different data screen that includes current pace. You just need to remember the target pace which is displayed when starting each interval.

Yes, it would be preferable if the data screen used current pace, but it doesn’t. So I adapt.

I can also adapt to a limit and now I was feeling enough is enough. Why haven’t Garmin fixed this since October when this feature was introduced. Today’s suggestion working great mostly for me except for this pace thing when running. TS screen is great with it showing upper and lower limits for target.

The data screen for structured workouts has been the same since long before training suggestions went live.

So maybe I need to change my request to that Fenix is in all workouts for running using foot pod pace as an input to average pace?

Then average pace will be more accurate faster especially in the beginning of an interval.

 I only got experience with T.S. workouts but I feel that pace information in current form is unusable and force me to only use heart rate targets

If that's what you want, then yes, that would be a proper request.

But be aware that workout target pace in garmin devices has been working like this for at least 12 years, or perhaps forever, so the chance to get your request fulfilled is nigh zero.

If you absolutely want to achieve that then configure your footpod to distance: always. It will probably be less accurate than using the gps though.

But I don’t think you need to change anything. The answer is in the video you posted. Use the other data screen while running. That will give you the fastest and most accurate feedback for how fast you are currently running. Disregard that other data screen for pace target workouts.
