Hello
I have a Fenix 6x Pro Solar. Since I have this watch, there exists a bug with power mode but Garmin won't know something about this bug and assign blame to the 3rd party watch face developer. Otherwise they say, it's my specific watch and I have to replace it. But I'm sure, it's a software bug. So please help me to try to reproduce this bug on other watches:
- Download a 3rd party watch face (not a Garmin one)
- At first, use a standard Garmin watch face
- Configure a power mode: Display: Time Out (so display will be switched off automatically when activity is running and display will switch on, when you have a look onto the watch)
- Configure an activity
- Use the power mode configured above
- Lap key: Off
- Start this activity
- Wait for a while until display switches off
- Have a look onto the watch: Display should be switched on
- Press "back" button: Normal watch face should be shown
- Press "back" again: Activity data screen should be shown
- Wait for a while until display switches off
- Have a look onto the watch: Display should be switched on -> so all is OK
- Stop and discard activity
Now configure a 3rd party watch face and repeat the procedure
- Start the activity
- Wait for a while until display switches off
- Have a look onto the watch: Display should be switched on
- Press "back" button: Not your 3rd party watch face should be shown, but a standard Garmin one (this is OK, no bug, it's a "feature" - in my opinion maybe the reason for this power mode bug)
- Press "back" again: Activity data screen should be shown
- Wait for a while until display switches off
- Have a look onto the watch: Display will not switch on anymore!
- You can only make it running again, when you configure another power mode and configure again the old one
Thanks for your help
