It would depend on how often you are using your HRM to determine if the issue is a defective HRM strap or not. If you are recording a lot of activity time wearing your HRM strap, the battery drain could be valid. If you seldom use your HRM and you are needing to change batteries so frequently, please reach out to your regional Outdoor Product Support to request your HRM strap is replaced within your warranty. It could be a defective HRM strap but you will need to look at the big picture too.
