Garmin Fenix 6 Pro bluetooth problems

I've observed the same on my Fenix 6 Sapphire, host phone is android 11. Very inconsistent connections, at times no connections at al and require hard resting of the watch. Seems like when phone goes in to sleep/locked mode the sync is broken. Equal results on my IPhone x unfortunately. Running 16.70 on the watch. 

With Android, double check you've white listed Connect in power management settings as it's very aggressive in killing off background apps

I find it more distracting when listening to music. I have tried it with several headphones. But it's not good for listening to music.

I tried this including removing any power limiting features on bluetooth functionality. This issue came after the 16.60(16.70) update. 

In general, to clarify I was very happy with the product. It is very well designed and meet all my needs in terms of functionality. 

But, I feel the need to voice my opinion as a customer that this idea of needing to manually adjust system settings in Android for such a primary function is not ok. Other bluetooth devices does not require/show similar behaviour. So i strongly believe this is on Garmins side. At this price point, this should not happen.

Never blame one side for problems. Problems might occur with the phone hardware update issues for example. Always, in every single case check both sides of connection in different ways and then try investigation in online forums. Word.
