Cost of Garmin nylon QuickFit 22 bands in UK

Good call/catch - thanks - but I think I'll still hold off until/if my current strap breaks as 89.99 is still a huge amount for a nylon strap.

I looked up what the Jacquard weave is and I remain to be convinced if it's worth an extra 90 GBP on top of the heathered nylon strap ... however to be fair Garmin can charge what they want/the market will bear for the product. I - for one - feel it's a tad too expensive for what it is.

Yup - total rip off. After being a Garmin customer for 20 years I owned several 945's and now have an Epic 2 but I am approaching a switch to Apple because of this behavior! I manufacture at my medical device firm and know a bit about CoGS. This is pure piracy!!!

Dont know what to say.... yes too hefty price. I have made my own only needed to find a good quality QuickFit 22 clips. I have tried many watchbands from ebay to amazon. most of them terrible to wear on your wrist (sharp or not flexible to rigid) My recent was a terrible "Hemsut Rugged series" it was glued before sewing together, 30 minutes of wearing and i had skinrush on my wrist. Now i got a genuine Titanium band. Using it in tandem with the white silicone band.

Thanks Mezey, my Ops VP reckons $5 to $7 to make these nylon straps "worst case". Titanium is pricier but maybe $20 of labor material and overhead. Quality these days is simply good design and CAD to start and good material followed by good process. all ISO factories offer this. t\Yes, the cheap ones don't run this Quality focused (ISO) system and you have to look for good firms, but they are out there.  We are talking nylon and steel components. All of these things have many global vendors to make the parts to tight specs. So I don't buy the "quality costs this much" rationale. It need not. That all said, agree on risks with cowboys. $300 for a nylon strap is a rip-off, sorry Garmin. Nylon is nylon so unless StrapsCo is making loss (they are not) the price they are selling it is likely fair and a decent markup from their cost. Garmin is exploiting our loyalty. Man, the move has backfired with me.
