Hi All,
I received a Garmin Fenix 6S for Christmas (2020). With the arrival of summer weather and loosening of restrictions, I've finally had an opportunity to start running outdoors and using my watch.
Unfortunately, on my headphones keep disconnecting while I'm out on my runs and I have to hit the play button on the watch's music controls and the the watch displays a message that it's reconnecting to the earphones. This happens repeatedly throughout my runs and not at any specific time interval.
I contacted Garmin support by chat and phone. Their first suggestion was wearing the watch on the right wrist but that didn't change anything. They then sent me a list of 8 earphone models that they say are most compatible, but I'm not overly anxious to replace a perfectly good pair of earphones, purely as a troubleshooting test. The other suggestion was to use them indoors but, obviously when you buy a running/outdoors/multisport watch it's to be able to use it outside. Running on a treadmill doesn't really require a watch. Most the data can be mointored by modern treadmills without the need for a watch.
I know from the forums that people have experienced this issue with Jaybird earphones. Although I have Plantronics earphones, the issue seems similar. I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions that might be of help?
