I've always ran with my phone in my pocket for playing music. Recently I decided to lighten things up and play my music directly from my Fenix 6X. Today when I went for a run, the voice prompts sounded very different.
Using bluetooth from my phone to a set of Aeropex headphones, the usual voice pitch is fairly high and speaks relatively quickly. However, direct from the watch to the Aeropex (as it was this morning), the voice is much lower pitch and takes longer to speak my pace and heartrate. Essentially, the voice using the phone sounds like a girl in her 20's, and direct from the watch it's a much more 'mature' sounding voice.
If this is the way the voice prompts are supposed to sound, then perhaps there is a bug that causes a pitch to rise when a phone is being used as the 'gateway' for the BT audio.
I don't really mind the change, though it was a little odd to hear such a difference. Does anyone have any explanation as to why this happens?
