The Garmin phone app simply does not sync the watch time on my Fenix 6X Sapphire. The watch will connect to the phone app and pass data, but the watch time is never synced. This is not a bluetooth connectivity issue because the watch will connect to the phone app. It simply will not sync the time. Whatever time error existed before connecting to the phone app (typically drifts 5-7 seconds over a week) remains after the watch has been connected to the watch. In order to sync the time I must use the GPS.
I had reported this to the customer support group a number of months ago. No solution was provided. They indicated a ticket would be raised, but the issue is still not fixed.
