From the Edge 8.0 FW changelog:
" Added directional arrows to routes, courses, and history lines."
Could we get this finally on the Fenix please? I am so tired double checking the route on my phone everytime the route intersects with itself.

I think it would be better if they took all the navigation code from Edge devices which is better than Fenix one!
Fenix have the navigation from old devices without map that is really absurd.
Yeah, Edge has better navigation than the fenix. But I guess it also has more computing power. Still, I hope they will fix navigation on the fenix.
I think Fenix could manage TBT calculation, it already do it when you chose a POI or a destination point.
They just understand that actual navigation is very poor without the possibility to use course pint created in Garmin Connect.
Yes, please. There have been cases where I'd get disoriented even without intersections. For example when losing a course and re-joining course later it isn't always clear which way to go. There have been cases where I'd have to stop and zoom the map with the course out to get a sense of the right direction. Seeing a direction arrow on the course would had definitely helped.
The Fenix ist capable of doing tbt navigation. You have to configure it and the watch needs to calculate the Route. But it is possible. Basically there is a dumb Mode which Just Show the Route and a Mode where Map Data is used and the watch calculates everything

Described under "Courses". Follow Course (where it Just Shows the Route) vs use Map (tbt after calculating)
Yes, Fenix is capable of full routing using built-in maps but that burns through the battery very quickly and isn't usable for longer activities. The only case I use that if I want to find a way back to start. Also I found that it doesn't always pick the most optimal way to the destination, which is a consern if I have to use that in case of an emergency.

Navigation with TBT is functional on the fenix. But it is buggy with TBT alerts. I can have the same route on my Edge and on my fenix, the Edge will give me all TBT alerts while the fenix will miss some (sometimes a lot)
Please. I just hiked today on a course that kept looping on itself and intersecting, and at times I had to leave the course to go to a restroom. And sometimes I don't know which way to go
