Backlight gesture not working in sleep mode

I've seen people having issues with the backlight turning on in do not disturb mode (sleep time) whilst using gesture but my light will not turn on!

My settings are:

Do not disturb during sleep 1130 - 0830

Backlight during sleep gesture on

Am I doing something wrong?

I switched off the do not disturb during sleep last night and still no backlight on gesture

Are you lying down looking up at the watch? I have occasionally found that the gesture to activate the backlight doesn’t work when on my back looking up at the watch.
