Gorilla glass damaged - Fenyx 6 pro

Hi,

I've owned my Fenyx 6 pro for more than a year and as a really active person (and because of many crashes ) I managed to damage my gorilla screen pretty bad. I called garmin and they did not really offer me a solution other than buying a new one.

Do anyone one know where I could find a replacement screen?

Thank you all for you answers, i'll look into it.

At the end that is a watch designed for exploration/adventures, i don't really mind the scratches :)

thats why I always put a screen protector even on saphire...

Agree with this; makes a change to hear some honesty about damage.. They will possibly offer a replacement at a discount.

Mostly crashing while mountain biking/downhill bike park
i did not know screen protector existed until recently, now it's too late for that

First, let me just thank you for being unusually honest! Most people around here are like, "I don't know what happened, I was just sitting down watching TV and then suddenly my watch face developed this huge gouge in it and the screen broke for no apparent reason!" haha

Anyways, maybe Garmin told you they couldn't fix it because they thought you were trying to get it fixed under warranty. I would contact them again, and make it clear that you aren't seeking a warranty repair, you're willing to pay for new glass to be installed, and see what they say. I would be very surprised to hear if they don't offer some other solution besides "buy a new watch"

Many of those scratches will polish out. What's left will preserve some of the watch's character. Polish and press on.

There are bezels for older watches that's sold with the screen. Maybe there are some for 6 series and and maybe there will be if not yet...

There is no replacement screen. Bezel, glass, screen (and antennas?) are all together in the top part of the watch (that thing held in place by the screws). Basically you need to replace entire top half of the watch...

Looking at the condition of the watch I would recommend both screen and bezel protector. You can find them on eBay/Amazon for 5-10$.

Same thing happened to me 3 months after buying a Vivoactive HR; warranty was voided (of course, understandable) and there was no option for paying repairs outside of warranty. They could just replace it with a refurbished watch for 75% of the selling price...

Try searching on eBay for user garmin_parts, I think you can find just the lens, but don't expect a cheap replacement and someone with the right tools and knowhow has to install it.

Or keep it as is, stay away from water, and call it "personalized"
