New Fenix 6 Pro unable to connect to Wifi

Trying to set up my Fenix 6 Pro with Spotify and I'm confused on the WIFI connection. Garmin connect says it's connected to my network on my Android phone. I set up the network on the watch. It spun a green circle and then a green check mark which led me to believe the connection was successful. Then when I immediately go to Spotify on the watch and choose to download playlists, it says must be connected to a wifi network.

So I select connect, choose the network I have already set up, test connection, and it says "unable to connect. Error code 0100"

Seems like it was connected fine before I went in to Spotify.

Thank You

  • There seems to be a problem sometimes when you try to connect your watch to a mixed band wifi network. Garmin watches will detect and connect only to 2.4 gHz wifi networks. So, if it is a mixed band router that you have (2.4 and 5 gHz), try to create a separate SSID for your watch to connect to. Another option is to turn your smartphone to a hotspot and have your watch connected there.

  • Thank You Salvador. The mobile hotspot did it.
