Not prompting to update

Fenix 6, current fw 15.20.

Connected to Garmin Express (on Windows 10)

Synced, Updated to 16.60.

Disconnect from cable, never prompted to update, even after restart.

More info after trying this multiple times:

Right after the upgrade is completed and Express tells me to disconnect, I checked the "Garmin" folder in explorer and I can see the gupdate.gcd file. However, when I disconnect the watch from USB and reconnect (after a few minutes) the file is gone.

Running the Express prompts to upgrade to 16.60 again.

Another update:

Downloaded and installed WebUpdater from: https://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=931

The watch was updated to 16.60 successfully.

Have you tried the webupdater instead of Express? If the file "gupdate" is already on the watch, I would backup it before.

I have firmware 16.00 (fenix 6) - there is no update either. I connected it to a computer - Garmin Express writes at 16.60 but the watch is still 16.00. I wait further

One more. Fenix 6 non Pro 15.2. I noticed that gupdate.gdc file is very large (13.5 mb). May be wrong or corrupted?

today I downloaded update 16.60 via Garmin Express, but the watch still has 15.20

No update available under System/Software Update in the watch? Maybe automatic update is off.

Same here on a 6 Solar. Tried every possible reset but noting makes the watch start the update which is definitely transferred on the watch witch Garmin Express.
