troubles connecting to wifi

Hi there

I'd like to see what kind of settings you use in order to connect the watch to a wifi network. I have the Fenix 6x Sapphire and I get internet connection issues. My router supports mixed bands, both 2.4 and 5 gHz. What is the transmission mode you use? 802.11b+g+n? Channel bandwidth 20/40, no coexistence? And finally, have you set it to pick a channel automatically or no?

I was able to connect with no problems at all until yesterday, I changed nothing and I have no idea why it won't connect anymore. Garmin Helpdesk was not really helpful, they only suggest a hard reset, but I think it is a matter of router's settings. Any help will be so much appreciated!

Some users are reporting wifi connectivity issues related to the update to firmware 16.60. My watch was fine until the update, now it can't find my network. The only thing that changed was the firmware on the watch... No solution yet, and I have invested a lot of time to try.

I would love to downgrade the firmware to something older and more stable, however this 16.60 firmware has also made it so my laptop can no longer see the USB device when I plug the watch into it. Everywhere I turn to try and solve this I hit a roadblock.

I do have an active ticket with Garmin. I assume they will come back with further steps to try but I can't imagine it will be something I haven't tried already.

It’s not the wifi issue only. Garmin pay stopped working too. I tried everything they proposed and still nothing.
