Best phone app to create/import tracks to use with Fenix 6

I’m searching for an app that can use a .img map file (openstreet)

Then I want to create a track from scratch and save as .gpx , and be able to import and edit a .gpx file (example: from Wikiloc)

Other functions

- use .img map as a layer (offline)

- use Google Maps Satellite pictures as a layer (mobile network)

- navigate using the gpx file

Why?

- Stop using Basecamp, is too much and outdated

- import courses from Wikiloc and edit it

- create courses that don't exist in Wikiloc

- send to Fenix 6X

- use my mobile phone as a backup device and send gpx files to my friends that don't have a watch and rely on the mobile phone to navigate. That way they can discuss, edit and navigate that track.

Any recommendations of an Android app able to do that?

Ps: Garmin Explore is not functioning properly with current firmware.

Basecamp? Several hours to read maps of the watch.

It won't do everything you're wanting to do, and it won't work offline, and it isn't technically an app, but I use Plotaroute when I want to do what you're doing. The mobile version of the website works…

I use https://gpxstudio.github.io/. It has several map options, can load Strava Heatmap as a transparent layer (if you have n Strava) account. You can draw free hand or follow roads/paths. You can merge and split existing GPX files and work with multiple GPX layers.

It is 100% free (as in no ads or limitations) but of course kindly asks for a donation. So far it has never limited me in creating routes. It works on a mobile but free hand drawing is probably not the easiest on a phone regardless of app.

Thanks. Yesterday I read a little about Locus Map and appears that it can do almost everything that I want. But it's not clear to me the difference between the Free, Pro, and Premium versions. If it can read offline maps, create tracks, and navigate, than it have all I want. A friend recommended OruxMaps app to create and edit tracks and BikeGPX to naviagate (but it is online)

As far as I know with Komoot I need to pay to use Komoot maps that are totally useless at my region. What I want is the possibility to use openstreet maps

As far I know, the difference is for example that the Pro version can do also the elevation graph of the course. But there is one time payment of really small amount. So I use the Pro and I am satisfied. Maps of nearly all regions can be free of charge downloaded from www.openandromaps.org/.../downloads.

I downloaded ViewRanger and will try it. Read that the ViewRanger app is discontinued but still better than the Outdooractive that is the substitute. It can't read my own IMG maps but I saw that ViewRanger Maps are very good for my region. Thank you.
