Attempt to Save Location - "GPS is Off"

I tried to Save a Location and was met with the following response:

I save locations all the time and have never seen this issue before today. As far I as know, Saving a Location is not tied to an activity, so I don't even know what settings to change to turn the GPS on.

My other activities like running and biking work track with GPS just fine.

Do you have GPS off in the power manager (especially the overnight sleep settings?)

I have not changed any of the power settings, but I did look at my current settings and I don't have any that turns off the GPS nor do I have a Battery Mode turned on during sleep.

I get that message when I am in a non-GPS activity like Treadmill and try to save a location.

I think I solved the problem. I had started a Walk activity a couple days ago. When I finished my walk, I selected Resume Later. A day after later, the activity was automatically saved and sync'd to Garmin Connect without me going back and resuming or saving the activity (seems like odd behaviour). I was able to start subsequent activities which you typically can't do unless you save or discard the "Resume Later" activity. So, this morning I started a new Walk activity and saved it. Problem solved. There must have been a software flag that was not cleared when the activity was auto-saved.
