Can you use Virtual Caddy on the Fenix?

Will the Fenix 6 series get the virtual caddie update?

I do not believe it will. The virtual caddie feature is currently only in our Golf products. Which is why it is in the higher end MARQ Golfer and the Approach S62.

Sorry Chris but I am considering the fenix 6 at twice the price of the s62 is also a high end golf watch. 

I purchased the Fenix 6 primarily for golf, its very disappointing to learn that, Garmin's premium watch is missing features available on cheaper devices.

Let’s be honest a software update would enable this feature. I have a $1000 Garmin watch that is missing a feature offered on a $140 watch….

I’d pay extra to enable this feature….

While I like my gadgets as much as the next guy, in reality asking the watch to tell you which club to hit is a bad idea.

It's only estimating how far you can hit the various clubs off the gps data it gets during your rounds, it doesn't really know the types of shots you're hitting when it records data.

It also only stores total distance, not carry distance - it's normally carry distance you'll be using to pick a club into the green. Total distance will vary a lot based on ground conditions - hard vs soft, grass length etc.

Better idea is to have a dedicated gapping session at a range and note down your carry distances for all clubs, including 1/2 and 3/4 shots for your wedges, then use those to pick a club.

If you can't remember them, write them on a card and hang it off your golf bag.

When I compare features, virtual caddie is not one that shows up. 

I actually have a label on each of my clubs with full/half/quarter distance on them.
