Changing activity type after copying

I have a lot of displays and settings that I would like to copy from Walk to Hike rather than starting from scratch. But if I copy Walk to, say, MyHike it keeps the Walk category type any symbol (the little picture of someone walking). Is there a way to change the type and symbol of an activity after copying it to a new name?

Unfortunately this is how it works. Agree there are scenarios where I would like to also change the type. I guess that the main reason is the data that is stored and how Garmin Connect use that data. As an example there is no problem in changing Trail Running to Running and probably not Walking to Hiking. But if I would use a bike activity and try to change to walk it would probably cause problems.

Thanks. It seemed that way, but I just wanted to check with others before giving up on this.
