Tested with different people, right hand, left hand, loose, hard.

do you expect higher values ? i do get higher values but i have no way to verify it is correct. i think one day i may have gotten 100 %. i do not check anymore. i think it is for altitude athlete. i live at the beach
I expect the right values. It should be around 97%-99%. With 86% I should have an oxygen mask on my face.
It is a consumer devices so you will Not get values Like medic devices ("the right values").
Nevertheless i Always have values between 94-98%, so it Seems quite accurate for me. Not Like HR Data wich ist absolute sh.... For me....
It's not a feature I care about, but I just installed the widget and got a reading of 97%. Seems OK to me.
Just re installed the widget too. Got a 98%. No idea on how accurate it is. But values do go up and down. I guess you got to look at trends. I do not use it at night anymore as it drains the battery and after a few night of getting 95% average I thought it was ok. Even the devices sold on Amazon for cheap are not accurate either from what I read.
I wouldn't expect anyone to go into any detailed responses about this, this has already been discussed ad nauseum in several other multi-page threads.
The "right values" I get from a consumer 19,99 € device I bought in a pharmacy, not a "medic device". I still cannot understand why Garmin puts features that just don't work and charges hundreds of euros for them. Last night I had 89 % according to my Fenix, I used the standalone device and got 98 %.
Garmin, please, either you make things work or just remove them.
i was testing it this week while sleeping and got 75 lowest and many times around 77 most of the time in yellow around 85 or so
Does your 19 euro device from the pharmacy take its measurements from your wrist? For that matter, does any medical pulse oxymeter take measurements from the wrist? If not, what do you suppose the reason for that is?
And now you're suggesting that because it doesn't work as well as a fingertip pulse oxymeter, they should get rid of the feature completely so that people who use it for it's intended purpose can't have it available to them anymore?
Basically it is the Same with Heartrate. It is working for Most, simply Just Not for everybody. There are a Lot people who get reasonable values.
I think in General it is able to get values which Seems ok for Most people
