Fenix 6 Pro and Earbuds issues

Hi, I have read some posts in this forum and found that many of Jabra earbuds users are experiencing the disconnection/dropout issues.

I however could not found the solution for fixing this problem.

I have purchased Fenix 6 Pro 3 weeks ago, I have enjoyed until I tried to use my Galaxy Buds Live to listen music during workouts (running and walking).

When I do the workout such as running/walking outdoor, the connection between Fenix and Buds Live dropped out constantly.

(I have a doubt that it might be related with a GPS signal or Sensors as the dropout starts when GPS signal is detected or HR sensor is working)

I have tried to wear Fenix on my right wrist, but it is not working.

Does anyone has a solution to fix this?

Galaxy buds could be the problem. I have a pair and were paired with my Galaxy gear watch. Same thing. Constantly dropping on runs. Same when I paired with my fenix 6. Bought Bose sport ear buds. Never drops. I've had them for about 4 - 5 months. They are paired to my fenix and haven't had one single disconnect with them.

I have the Bose sound sport free and my left bud continues to drop. It’s been two days now since I’ve had sound from it. It plays fine when connected to my phone.

That's odd that you just have the drop with one side, but they work fine with your phone. It was my assumption the watch connected to the main bud with the antenna and then that bud sent the signal to the other bud. Maybe I'm wrong and they connect to the watch independently. I too have the Sport Free's and haven't had issues with a year and a half use. Have you tried unpairing them with the watch and then pairing again?

Yes, I had the same issue with the 745 before that. I do wear the watch on my right wrist, though I’m not sure if that effects it or not.

That suggests the buds connect independently with the watch and my assumption was wrong. I've intentionally tried to disrupt the signal by moving my hand behind my back and turning my head. I was able to manually cause a drop out, but if I recall correctly, it dropped on both sides. Maybe my memory isn't as good as it use to be. I'll test it later today when I go on my run as curiosity is getting the best of me.

same issue with airpods. I will get into a run while listening to music and it drops.

I have Galaxy Buds, Galaxy Buds Live and Galaxy Buds Pro and I don't have any problems with any of them. I can wear just one bud (it doesn't matter which one, they each work independently) and I always wear my watch on my left wrist. I can't explain why mine just work and some others don't.

My Air Pods Pro drop. I had similar problems when I had a MARQ with different headphones.

Switching the wrist, while it may work, and actually does with the Air Pods, is not a solution.

It's a Garmin problem. This worked out of the box, more than a year ago, in fact, the numerous updates have regularly wrecked as much as they've fixed, this is just one of those things.

You keep trying to fix the watch, you'll drive yourself crazy. Return it if you can and wait for the 7 or buy a better watch.

I have tried my Airpod Pro. Firstly, it seemed that it was working property. It however occasionally dropped. After reset, Airpod Pro is working well but I am not sure when it will drop out again.

Galaxy Buds Live works find when I am indoor, but it cannot be used when I am outdoor (when GPS signal is on).

I hope Garmin will fix this problem. Fenix is not cheap product.

What ANT/BLE/BT firmware version do you use on your watch? If it's 6.XX, you should try to roll back to 5.04. Many Jabra and Jaybird user has the same problem since 6.XX. Normally you can listen to music without dropouts, but during workouts it randomly disconnects.
