auto lock bug or feature ?

Hi,

I use auto lock during activities, its very useful.

Any button should unlock the lock, and it seems to apart from when you are on a map page then the the right hand button top button will not unlock the watch.

It only seems to happen on the map page, if any other page is displayed unlocking with the top right hand button works.

Anybody else notice this ?.

    I was not able to replicate what you are describing. When I use the Auto-Lock functionality, regardless of what screen I am on when recording an activity, my top right button on my Fenix 6X Pro Solar is unlocking the buttons again.

    Ensure your software is fully updated to version 15.20 when you check your System > About menu. If not, update your software. Other than that, if your behavior continues, please highlight my name and send me a private message. I will be happy to work with you further.

    Update. for everybody in the forum.

    It is NOT an auto lock issue.

    After playing around I have caused the same behaviour with auto lock completely disabled.

    1) disable auto lock completely.

    2) have the "lock" icon on my controls page

    3) activate a hike as before

    4) pressing the light button to get the controls wheel, I then lock the watch

    5) using any button but top right I unlock the watch

    6) move to the map screen

    7) press the light button and then lock the watch

    8) Now trying to unlock the watch with the top right button fails to do so. Any other button will unlock the watch.

    Its the interaction between being in a locked state, currently on the map screen, and the top right button press logic not unlocking the screen.

    Garmin support are currently looking at this issue

    Maybe other forum members who have time can try this to see if they can cause the same issue to occur ?.
