ClimbPro without having to use course

I've always thought that ClimbPro would be so much more useful if it could also be utilized without a pre-loaded course. For example, it could show the profile assuming you keep going on the current road until the next intersection or assuming you continue on the current road for x [user defined number] miles. Devices with maps like the F6 should be able to do this.

Looks like the Hammerhead Karoo can now do a version of this (see 'Upcoming elevation while rerouting'):

It would be too confusing to me, to have the watch showing theoretical upcoming elevation profiles and climbs that most of the time aren't going to apply to the route that I actually take.

The Karoo thing doesn't do what you're asking for, either. Like Fenix, it requires a destination/route to be loaded. Then it recalculates the climbs if your course gets re-routed, which the Fenix also does.

That also would really Limit the battery, because the watch ist CONSTANTLY recalculating. This would drain battery really heavy i think

Showing a ClimbPro like screen for a Strava live segment would be not a bad idea, actually. Seeing profile of a segment and where I am on that profile in real time would be a valuable information. I am primarily thinking about trail running segments many of which are steep climbs.
